What is IP technology?

IP by itself is something like the postal system. It allows you to address a package and drop it in the system, but there’s no direct link between you and the recipient. TCP/IP, on the other hand, establishes a connection between two hosts so that they can send messages back and forth for a period of time. Internet technology has emerged as the key enabling technology for digital integration. IP Technologies provides solutions for e-commerce and m-commerce by utilizing the latest web development techniques. Our goal is to provide solutions of the highest quality in the most economical way while ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
IP terminology
Transport Layer protocols
TCP       Reliable, acknowledged connection
UDP      Unreliable Datagram Protocol
RTP       Provides mechanisms on top of UDP
RTSP     Real Time Streaming Protocol
Network Layer Protocols
IP           Logical addressing of the packets.

What is IPTV?

IP is an array of satellite and terrestrial channels (audio-visual resources) that are distributed onto a data network infrastructure. This is all done with the help of the Internet Protocol.  These IP packets tend to contain a lot of data and the codec is what compresses the data. There are a few supported codecs such as MPEG-2 and MPEG-4. The list below shows what each codec is responsible for

MPEG-2 – Standard definition digital TV and DVD
MPEG-4 Part 2 – Reduced resolution and bandwidth applications
MPEG-4 Part 10 – High definition digital TV
As far as the MPEG compression is concerned, some frames are required. A frame is fundamentally a still image that is portrayed on the screen. These are the following MPEG stream types:
Elementary Stream
Separate Video, Audio and Data streams of a program

Packetised Elementary Streams (PES)
The elementary streams are formatted into packets

MPEG Multiplexing
Program Streams
Transport Streams
